OBSELETE MODULES & RETROFIT SYSTEMS

Compact, H-Series and P-Series systems were first introduced by Ionpure Technologies in 1987. At the time, the state of the art technology was Thin Cell Continuous Electrodeionization. Unfortunately this technology had its’ limitations, such as the maximum pressure rating of 60 psi, it’s susceptibility to biofouling, and it’s tendency to leak. These modules were made obsolete in 2013.

Thick Cell Module designs are now considered state of the art. These EDI modules are much more robust and durable, eliminate many of the thin cell limitations listed above, and allow for many more features and applications such as hot water sanitization.
